THE STUDIO

Purpose built recording studios with a superb sounding live room, three further recording areas and an inspiring control room.

Stonegate Recording Studios has a gorgeous 25m2 main live room with flexible acoustics and a four metre high sloping ceiling, amply big enough for live band set ups.

There is a small live room with clear vision to the main live room, the entrance hall with its big acoustics and a fourth smaller recording room.

The control room is designed and acoustically treated to create a balanced mixing space with a cosy atmosphere.

The studio was created in consultation with former BBC studio designer Tony English and Howard Turner, The Studio Wizard. The Main live area is built from the ground up as a room within a room with no structural contact with the rest of the building, achieving excellent sound isolation from the control room. There is natural light flooding into every room.

A kitchen and lounge area and toilet/wash room are on hand to keep fresh, fed and rested.

Recording is done in the box with a choice of Pro Tools, Cubase, Logic and Luna, and hands on control from the Avid S3. A range of industry standard mics and a variety of choice preamps feed into the system via Universal Audio Apollo interfaces. On board are a range of Plugins from the likes of UA, IK multimedia and Soundtoys.

An assortment of instruments and amps are available.
