between The Yorkshire Dales and The Forest Of Bowland.
More than just a great place to record, it is an idyllic retreat away from hustle and bustle and perfect for immersing yourself in your project.
When you're ready to take a break from the often intense process of creating you can walk along paths through an inspiring mix of broadleaf woodland full of song birds and gorgeous native wildflower meadows teeming with butterflies. Sit by our wildlife ponds or on the banks of the beautiful river Wenning watching Kingfishers and Dippers (take a dip yourself if you fancy) or just take in the views of Ingleborough and the famous Three Peaks of the Yorkshire Dales.
We are a couple of miles from the market town of High Bentham with a good range of local shops, cafes and pubs, and a railway station (we can arrange transport to pick you up if you arrive by train). Three miles away is the village of Ingleton with its renowned caves and waterfalls.
We are about 14 miles from Lancaster and the M6 motorway.
Sustainability and low impact are at the heart of everything here. Our electricity is from 100% renewable sources and in the future we aim to be net suppliers to the national grid from our own renewable energy. A large part of our heating, hot water and cooking is provided by coppiced wood from naturally regenerated woodland on former low grade pastureland. All our buildings are insulated to the highest standards. There is an orchard of old English fruit trees and organic vegetable gardens providing seasonal food.
We have a five aside sports area for football and badminton etc so you can let off steam and stretch legs before heading back in to the studio.
We have many ongoing and future projects including a new build providing a large recording space with high ceilings that will double up as a games room with table tennis, pool, table football and whatever else we can fit in! This will also be used as a small venue for live acts.
There are areas set aside for future projects including a zero carbon race track and a small plunge pool. Watch this space!...
